Starting at September 19, we're calling: FIR Evening in the Bremen FIR! Every second Friday From 19:30 to 22:00 local time, many of the key airports across the Bremen FIR will be staffed with live ATC — including major hubs like Bremen, Hanover, Hamburg, and Berlin, along with a variety of smaller regional airfields.
Pilots can look forward to a dynamic and immersive airspace, offering realistic flying conditions. Whether you're planning a short regional hop, tackling challenging approaches, flying longer IFR routes, or jumping between cities, the Bremen FIR delivers a varied and engaging experience. It’s a great opportunity to interact with experienced controllers, sharpen your skills, and enjoy realistic, high-traffic scenarios.
FIR Evenings take place every two weeks, typically featuring two back-to-back IFR-focused events, followed by a VFR Special on the third. Then the cycle begins again — giving you a consistent chance to take part in a rich and ever-changing airspace environment.
So take to the skies and explore Northern Germany from above: depart Hamburg with views of the Elbe and the harbor, fly a pattern over Hanover, enjoy scenic approaches into Bremen along the Weser, or head east to the capital, Berlin. And don’t overlook the smaller fields — from the coastline to the inland plains, from the Wadden Sea to the open skies of Brandenburg, the Bremen FIR is ready for you!

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 8:00-23:00 UTC, and Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 8:00-16:00 UTC, our controllers will be providing ATC coverage across all of Austria. Like last year, our entire ATC team will be gathered in a single location to ensure seamless coverage!
Enjoy two days of guaranteed full staffing across the entire country! Whether you fly the ILS approach in Vienna, the RNP approach in Salzburg, or the LOC DME in Innsbruck, whether you fly IFR or VFR, a small prop aircraft or a large jet, we’ll be ready to welcome you at our airports! CPDLC and DCL will also be continuously available, with the relevant logon codes listed in our controller info.
And as always, you’ll be able to watch a live stream from our controller room on our YouTube channel during the event!
