First Wings is all about giving new pilots the confidence to fly online with full ATC support. Whether it’s your very first flight or you just want more practice with controllers, this is the perfect chance to learn in a low-pressure, beginner-friendly environment. ATC will be there to guide you through every step - clearance, taxi, departure, en-route, approach, and landing.
This edition takes off on 17 December, starting at 1600 UTC. You’ll be flying from Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport - LROP to Luxembourg Airport - ELLX. The route is designed to be easy to follow, so you can focus on enjoying the experience and getting comfortable with ATC.
To ensure a smooth experience for both pilots and controllers, slot booking is mandatory. Make sure to reserve your departure time here in advance so you can participate.

Hamburg Weekly – Your Thursday on VATSIM
Every Thursday from 19:30 to 22:00 local time (18:30z–21:00z), it’s time to say “Welcome” or “Farewell” at Hamburg Airport (EDDH)! For this special evening, Hamburg goes all out — with full ATC coverage and a bustling airport environment that’s sure to excite every VATSIM pilot.
Whether you’re arriving from Munich, Frankfurt, or Copenhagen, touching down with a regional jet over the Elbe, or departing southbound on a holiday charter, Hamburg is always busy — and that’s exactly what makes it so appealing. Expect dense traffic, professional ATC, and that signature Hanseatic calm — all while staying sharp and in control.
But Hamburg is more than just an airport — it’s the Gateway to the World. With views of the harbor cranes, the Elbphilharmonie, and the Alster River, the airspace around Hamburg offers plenty of variety — ideal for all types of IFR operations, but also perfect for scenic VFR flights over the city.

Every Friday from 1700z till 2100z Latvia vACC hosts the famous Rīga Friday Fun which is a perfect way to relax at the end of the week! Rīga FIR will be staffed top-down and will warmly welcome all pilots both in the capital and on minor airfields!
Come and fly to and from Bucharest Otopeni International Airport (LROP) while being under full control trough out the country and enjoy a friendly and welcoming atmosphere!
