Welcome to Lisboa Thursdays, the monthly online day of Portugal’s major airport! Every first Thursday of the month from 1800z to 2000z, expect full staffing, professional and friendly ATC service and plenty of flight options.
Lisboa Airport is the main hub of Portugal’s flag carrier TAP Air Portugal. Because of this there are a lot of options for international or domestic flights. Fly either to Porto or Faro for a short hop or fly to windy Madeira if you are looking for a challenge. For those flying into Lisboa be sure to enjoy the beautiful approach over the city for runway 02.

Hamburg Weekly – Your Thursday on VATSIM
Every Thursday from 19:30 to 22:00 local time (18:30z–21:00z), it’s time to say “Welcome” or “Farewell” at Hamburg Airport (EDDH)! For this special evening, Hamburg goes all out — with full ATC coverage and a bustling airport environment that’s sure to excite every VATSIM pilot.
Whether you’re arriving from Munich, Frankfurt, or Copenhagen, touching down with a regional jet over the Elbe, or departing southbound on a holiday charter, Hamburg is always busy — and that’s exactly what makes it so appealing. Expect dense traffic, professional ATC, and that signature Hanseatic calm — all while staying sharp and in control.
But Hamburg is more than just an airport — it’s the Gateway to the World. With views of the harbor cranes, the Elbphilharmonie, and the Alster River, the airspace around Hamburg offers plenty of variety — ideal for all types of IFR operations, but also perfect for scenic VFR flights over the city.

Gustavo will be having his Tower (S2) CPT on Friday, November 7th, starting at 1530z. We need lots of IFR and VFR traffic around LPFR airport. This will be a busy day, so plan ahead and help Gustavo earn his S2 rating.
Don't know what to do on a Friday evening? Take a trip to the Baltics and visit Rīga - the heart of the Baltic region! Every Friday from 1700z till 2100z Latvia vACC hosts the famous Rīga Friday Fun which is a perfect way to relax at the end of the week! Rīga FIR will be staffed top-down and will warmly welcome all pilots both in the capital and on minor airfields!
On Friday, November 7th the Dutch VACC presents another edition of the Friday Night Fly-In!, an event in the form of a real operations night at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (EHAM). The purpose of this event is to create an ultra realistic traffic scenario by simulating real world night movements at Schiphol Airport between 18:00 and 22:00 UTC.
Pilots are kindly requested to book their flights using our booking system, however booking is not required. The booking system will open on Saturday the 1st of November. Try to use the listed aircraft types where possible and stick to the timetable as good as you can. It is permitted to book more than 1 flight, but a reasonable turn-around time should be taken into account. We are looking forward to welcoming you at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol!

In this spirit, Polish VACC invites you to its flagship event - Polish Independence 2025. On Saturday, November 8th, in Warszawa at Chopin Airport, in cooperation with Welcome Airport Services, our controllers will gather in one operations room and from 10:00 to 21:00 UTC will provide full Air Traffic Control coverage across the entire Warsaw FIR.
This event is extraordinary. Traffic levels often exceed real-world operations, while the standard of realism and immersion reaches the highest level. For years, Polish Independence has been a symbol of professionalism in our community and a unique way of honoring Independence Day together with aviation enthusiasts from all over the world.
This is the moment to combine the passion for aviation with the remembrance of history and to celebrate together one of the most significant days in Poland’s history. Join us! Let the skies above Warszawa be filled with traffic and let the white-and-red colors resonate proudly in the virtual airwaves.

Every two weeks, we light up the airspace over LHBP - Budapest so you can enjoy the night as you fly in/out of the Hungarian capital with a beautiful evening scenery! Budapest can easily facilitate large jets as well as small GAs, so feel free to grab your favourite aircraft and join the event! You can expect coverage from 18:00z. See you there!
