Hello everybody!

We are happy to announce that since Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA “Norwegian” has bought the regional airline Widerøe AS, we have decided to bring Widerøe operations under our roof. The acquisition was completed on Jan 12th. 2024.

It will take some time before everything is up to our standards, but the timetable has been added to our page, and we will increase our WIF content moving forward reflecting the day to day of WIF operations.

The WIF fleet:
The Widerøe fleet consists mainly of Dash 8 aircrafts and 3 Embraer E190-E2.
There are 10 Q400, 4 -Q300 and 26 Dash 8-100/Q200.

As always we are strict on the aircraft types used in the sim, and we are aware that on some platforms there will be limited choices. Currently most available for X-plane and for P3D platforms. Hopefully more MSFS options available in the future!
The dash 8 -100 and Q200 are interchangeable as they are similar in runway performance.

Operations:
There are two main areas of operation, one is normal commercial flights  and the other is public service obligation (PSO) routes on tenders with the Norwegian government. Most flights are regional in Norway.

With lots of new destinations, including most of the STOL airports along the Norwegian coast and more aircrafts to fly, it adds great variation potential for your Virtual Norwegian flights!

Schedule
The schedule is manually sourced from week 2/3 for now, so minor errors may be observed. If you have access to the updated season program in electronic format we would be happy to hear from you!
There will be some changes in april as new PSO tenders are starting, we will try to keep up to date, but expect minor delays since we have to use manual sourced data at this time.

Best of wishes!
vNAS team
